Their table relationship join lines will remain intact. Click Yes, and then click Yes again to create the new table.
Do not confuse a make table query with an update or append query. The field names of the source and target tables do not need to match. This seems like a very "round about" way to do what I want.

Erik A Erik A You can also use criteria in the query to further customize or narrow your result set. The only way I know to do this is to go into the appended tables of the second database, delete the data that needs to be updated, and then run the append query from the first database to update the information.
An Append Query may be Part of Multiple Queries If you need to generate records based on different sources and criteria, it may not be possible to do in a single query.
